The Day the world Changed
On October 31, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper, titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” . A few months later on January 3, 2009, Nakamoto mined the first block – the “Genesis Block”.
From that day forward the world would never be that same.
The Evolution
Due to disagreements within the Bitcoin community around block size, technical direction and the philosophy of Bitcoin’s purpose, Bitcoin took a “Hard Fork” in November 2018, where emerged Bitcoin SV.
The “SV” stands for “Satoshi Vision” claiming to represent the original Vision of Bitcoin’s creator.
"METanet" - The new Internet
The Metanet is a framework based on Bitcoin SV blockchain and supported by the BSV Association to develop a blockchain-based “internet”.

BSV Association is actively developing and promoting Metanet as we transition from the broken Internet to a blockchain-based internet where data, ownership, and value are intrinsic to the cryptographic technology.
A Swiss-Based non-profit called BSV Association was create to govern the technical development and adaptation of Bitcoin SV.
With notable associations to Satoshi Nakamoto, BSV Association are advocates and guardians of the original Vision of Bitcoin with adaptations to block size, transaction fees and on-chain scalability.
